Armidale / Tamworth NSW

Friday 26th July
Today we crossed the boarder into NSW travelling a huge 428km from Beaudesert to Arimdale where we stayed 2 nights with family.

Saturday 27th July
We experienced our first below zero night in the caravan, a chilly -4. There were ice on the canvas  side of my sheets. Even with below zero temperatures we were all nice an toasty with the heater working over time.

We spent the day helping put in concrete for new gates leading into the backyard.

Sunday 28th July
First up we had a late breakfast with one of Robs good mates from university and his family then headed down the New England highway 111kms to Tamworth. On our way own we stopped at Moonbi so J could continue to have photos with all things Big. This time it was with the Big hen.

We had booked in at the Big 4 Paradise Tourist Park on a powered site. The allowed us to choose which site was best and we choose site 78 as across from a fully fenced playground which is next to the pool,BBQs and the best camp kitchen we have seen. Beside the camp kitchen is the laundry and amenities. The park is next to the tourist information centre and only a short work to own.

Huge dinning area showing the lounge and kitchen at rear.

Amazing kitchen with 2 huge ovens (the other on the left hand side)

Leather couches with a huge big screen tv

Gas log fire place kept the room toasty warm during our stay in winter.

Monday 28th July - Saturday 3rd August

We pretty much just spent time with the family and friends over the week.
Middle of the week the 31st we celebrate Js 5th birthday with a visit to Endevour Marsupial
Park at Oxley Park which has free entry. It has a fantastic bird free flight bird avery, several averies for cockatoos, as well many native wildlife such as  kangaroos and emus. It has a great children's play area and bbqs and I believe they are constructing a new adventure playground there,
J in his birthday presents, cowboy hat and RMW clothing

And of course with Js "All things big" we had to get a photo with the "Big Golden Guitar .

After celebrating breaksfast with Grandma for her birthday we headed off a little later than planned on the 3rd. Next stop Dubbo and the Western Plains Zoo
