Beaudesert QLD

Saturday 20th July

We left Caloundra in the rain and headed south 163kms down to Brisbane and back down to good friends farm in Beaudesert, Yes the same one we stayed on our way up in April. We had planned to go to the Beaudesert races again but the weather wasn't looking very nice and it rained all the way and for most of the afternoon which was a shame as we were all looking forward to a great day. So instead J, I and my sister went to have a coffee at Jimboomba and to catch up with my niece who had come to pick my sister up to spend the night at her house before she headed home on Sunday. It was great to have my sister up for the 3 nights we all really enjoyed having family around again.

Sunday And Monday 21/22July

Both days we just hang out at the farm helping. J was very excited to see the cattle again, feeding and collecting eggs from the chooks. He is really missing home and the animals.

Tuesday 23rd July

Today we had to head to the Gold Coast for an early morning medical appointment for A. Once again we had breakfast at a beautiful little cafe in Tugun. We had friends from Victoria that were also up on the Gold Coast so we caught up with them at great Park up at Southport then headed to Harbour town as J needed new shoes

Wednesday 24th July

Once again after a relaxing morning we headed to Jimboomba for a play at the park prior to having Lunch with a friend which we missed at our previous visit to Beaudesert.

Thursday 25th July

Today we were very lucky to have a tour of the Scenic Rim Robiotic dairy and Real 4 Milk factory just out of Beaudesert. Living in a huge dairying area in Gippsland and also prior to children I afternoon milked for a local dairy, It was fascinating to watch the robotic dairy in action.

While at the farm also bought a 750ml glass bottle of umhomigised milk. So good to have milk used to be, that lovely creamy top.

More information about the dairy, booking a tour or the 130 and growing stockists of thier milk in south east Queensland please visit

Sadly that ends our time in Queensland. After 3 months and 7 days we head across the boarder to NSW tommorow.
