About Us

So you have probably worked out already that there is 4 of us, myself Shandelle, my husband Rob and our 2 little boys J (4 1/2yo) and A (2yo). Orginally we are from South Gippsland in Victoria but are travelling of the east coast Australia for 6 months.

The decision to travel was thought up 4 years ago when we met another family travelling Australia for 12 months while holidaying with our old caravan. So the planning began.  We had always planned for 2 children and when A arrived we decided it would be a prefect opportunity to travel while both boys were still young and not having to comitt to school work. We live on a farm so we needed to decrease stock numbers (both cattle and horses) and find some one to house sit our farm while we are away. J will also return to 4yo kinder on our arrival home to begin term 4 which will give him the transition into school.

Our Caravan

After spending hours reaserching and inspecting family vans at many of the travel and camping shows we settled on a a 24ft 2010 Paramount Classic Utlity Duet. The boys have bunks at one end and our bed folds out the front. The middle is the kitchen and a large living area. Behind the boys bunks and opening to the outside is a large storage boot which stores our washing machine, axenne walls, bikes on a bike rack, and the many other extras need with travelling with a family. We decided to do away with the ensuite as we already had a porta pottie (we did have a custom made cupboard to hide it away in), and have since bought a shower pop up tent and a companion aqua cube logic 111 for when we are free camping

Our Van is towed by a 2009 Landcrusier with KDSS (Kinetic Dyamic Suspension System)
